Over 6.5 lakh candidates appeared for GATE 2024, 1.29 lakh qualify

This time, GATE saw an increase of 23 per cent in enrollment, as last year about 6.70 lakh candidates registered for GATE for 29 papers, in total. Out of these, 5.17 lakh candidates appeared for the exam in more than 500 centres across the country with an overall attendance of about 77 per cent.

Additionally, GATE 2024 featured a new test paper on Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DA), which attracted 52,743 applications, of which 39,210 candidates appeared for the test, and 8,378 candidates qualified the test.

The GATE 2024 scorecard link will be available for free at the official website from March 23 till May 31. From June 1 to December 31, 2024, the GATE scorecard will be available for download from the GATE application portal by paying a fee of Rs 500. From January 1, 2025, the GATE 2024 scorecard will not be available for download anywhere.

GATE 2024 was conducted in eight sessions spread over four days: February 3, 4, 10, and 11, 2024. The exam was organised by the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and was conducted in 606 exam centres spread over 227 cities across the country.
