Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow was one of the non-Delhi-based universities to get the highest number of applications in CUET 2022. Last year, 1,80,569 students registered for admissions through CUET UG. The university was placed at the 78th rank in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2022 ranking. The University came into existence on January 10, 1996. It offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral degree programmes through 40 departments. At the undergraduate level, the university only offers three courses - BTech, BBA and BSc. It also offers two integrated courses - BSc-MSc and BBA-LLB. Scholarships The university offers scholarships to students with disabilities as well as scholarships provided by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. Placements University Placement Cell conducts placement drives for bringing job and internship opportunities for students. Major recruiters of the university include Wipro, Aegis, HCL, Yes Bank, BYJUs, Decathlon, ICICI Prudential, and Genpact among others. Apart from these, the university also conducts skill test for internship programmes. Hostel Students admitted to any regular full-time programme of study shall be eligible to apply for hostel accommodation. Allotment of seats in the hostels will be made on the basis of 50 per cent seats to each SC/ST and Open category student. However, the remaining 50 per cent seats of SC/ST students in these hostels may be adjusted in other hostels Apart from these, the university also offers facilities like a student guidance cell, personality development cell, student feedback portal, student feedback cell for a safe and secure stay of students on campus.
