According to data shared by NTA, as many as 283 central, state and other universities participated in CUET UG 2024.

The selection and admission are subject to fulfilling the admission criteria, eligibility, rank in the merit list, medical fitness, verification of original documents, and such other criteria as may be prescribed by the University.

This year a total of 13,47,618 students registered for CUET UG 2024, out of which there were 7.17 lakh male candidates, 6.30 lakh female candidates and 7 transgender students registered for the exam.

NTA score is a percentile score of the candidate in the test in which he appeared. It indicates his position vis-à-vis others who appeared in it. It is an indicator of the relative position of the candidates amongst those who appeared in the test.

Admissions are handled at the level of each of the Central Universities (CUs) for their respective programs. After the declaration of the CUET (UG) - 2024 result by NTA, the respective CUs will declare the counselling/ admission schedule and merit list based on the CUET (UG) - 2024 score and the other criteria of the respective University.

a) The result for CUET (UG) - 2024 will be processed based on the Final Answer Keys. No grievance with regard to Answer Key(s) after the Declaration of Result of CUET (UG) - 2024 will be entertained.
b) The marks obtained by a candidate will be considered further for computation of the result of CUET (UG) - 2024.
c) There shall be no re-evaluation/re-checking of the result. No correspondence in this regard shall be entertained.
d) No Score Card will be dispatched to the candidates and the candidates are advised to download their Score Cards for CUET (UG) - 2024 from the website: https://exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/

For Multiple Choice Questions: To answer a question, the candidates need to choose one
option corresponding to the correct answer or the most appropriate answer. However, if any anomaly or discrepancy is found after the process of challenges of the key verification, it shall be addressed in the following manner:
i. Correct answer or the most appropriate answer: Five marks (+5)
ii. Any incorrect option marked will be given minus one mark (-1).
iii. Unanswered/Marked for Review will be given no mark (0).
iv. If more than one option is found to be correct then Five marks (+5) will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options.
v. If all options are found to be correct then Five marks (+5) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.
vi. If none of the options is found correct, or a question is found to be wrong, or a question is dropped, then all candidates who have attempted the dropped question will be given five marks (+5) marks

Results will be processed based on such answer keys which are verified by experts.

Yes, a candidate who wants to get admission to any UG courses in any Central University or its affiliated colleges for the academic year 2024-25 must appear in CUET (UG) - 2024.

NTA has been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting the CUET (UG) – 2024.

The role of NTA is confined to the registration of candidates, issuing admit cards, conducting exams, hosting answer keys and invite challenges, finalizing answer keys, and processing and declaring results. Eligibility, reservation, admission, etc. are as per the rules and regulations of the respective Central University/Participating Institutions.

NTA has no role in the admissions to the Participating Institutions.

Now that the final answer key has been released, the CUET UG 2024 result will be declared soon too. As of now, the date and time for CUET result declaration has not been issued by NTA. Once intimated, the details will be made available at this page.

Yes, NTA has dropped several questions from the offline and online modes of the exam.

The CUET UG exam consisted of 61 total subjects which included 33 languages, 27 domain subjects, and a general test.

This year, in the online mode exams, a total of 59 questions have been dropped. A total of 404 questions have been dropped in the offline exams' final answer key.

CUET UG was conducted in Hybrid mode (CBT and Pen & Paper) mode by the NTA this year. The test dates were May 15, 16, 17, 18, 21, 22, 24 and 29.

The scores and results of CUET UG 2024 can be utilised by other organizations as per their eligibility criteria, norms, applicable regulations, guidelines and rules.

There shall be no re-evaluation/re-checking of the CUET UG 2024 result. No correspondence in this regard shall be entertained, NTA said while releasing the CUET UG information brochure 2024.

If none of the options is found correct in CUET UG, or a question is found to be wrong, or a question is dropped, then all candidates who have attempted the dropped question will be given five marks (+5) marks.

According to the CUET UG 2024 marking scheme, if more than one option is found to be correct then five marks (+5) will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options in CUET UG OMR sheet.

The CUET UG 2024 was held in hybrid mode (CBT and pen and paper) mode on May 15, 16, 17, 18, 21, 22, and 24 in 379 cities including 26 cities outside India for around 13.48 lakh candidates, about 1.58 lakh candidates appeared for seven test papers on May 29 and nearly 1,000 students took the CUET UG retest on July 19.
