CBSE Class 12th Psychology Exam Analysis: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) today (April 5) conducted Class 12 Psychology exam. Teachers and students rated paper of moderate difficulty with MCQs predominantly case-based.

Harshita Prabhakar, PGT Psychology at MRG School, Delhi said that the paper was tricky and almost all questions need above average concept understanding. “No direct questions were there in the question paper. Some indeed were twisted and confusing. In-depth reading and understanding of NCERT concepts were needed for almost all questions,” Prabhakhar said.

Varda Jutta, PGT Psychology at Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Ghaziabad said that the question paper had questions regarding the cognitive distortions and Theory of Carl Jung which were unexpected.

“The questions needed analysis and application of principles of psychology. The assertion reasoning questions were very easy but the balance was struck with the other MCQs as they were challenging,” she said.

Maitrai Yadav, a class 12 student in Noida said the paper was difficult and required conceptual understanding to solve the paper. “There were as such no direct questions whereas, in sample paper, a couple of questions were from the NCERT syllabus. Most of the questions are twisted and confusing and required longer time to solve. It was not on the lines of sample paper issued by CBSE,” she added.
