This year, the CBSE board Class 12 exams were held from February 15 to April 4, 2025. The practical component of the CBSE board Class 12 exams was conducted between February 1 to 14. This year, 17.88 lakh CBSE Class 12 students took exams across 120 subjects.

The CBSE Class 12 marksheet will contain key details including the student’s name, subject-wise total marks, theory and practical scores, and the qualifying status (pass or fail), among others. It is important to note that the digital scorecard available online will be provisional. Students must collect their original mark sheets from their respective schools once they are issued.
In previous years, the CBSE Class 12 results were announced around mid-May. For instance, in 2024, the results were declared on May 13, while in 2023 they were released on May 12. The board conducted the Class 12 exams for the 2024 academic session between February 15 and April 2.
How have CBSE Class 10th & 12th students performed in last 5 years?
In 2024, a total of 16,21,224 students appeared for the Class 12 exams, out of which 14,26,420 students successfully passed, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 87.98%. This marked a slight improvement from the 87.33% pass rate recorded in 2023. Girls continued to outperform boys with a pass percentage of 91.52%, compared to 85.12% for boys. Additionally, more than 24,000 students scored above 95%, while over one lakh students achieved scores above 90%.
