CAT 2023: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode has revised its admission policy for admission to its postgraduate programme for the 2024-26 session. Although the scores of the Common Admission Test (CAT) will carry 45 per cent weightage for shortlisting the candidates for the Written Ability Test (WAT) and personal interview (PI), gender diversity and academic have been assigned a 10 per cent and five per cent weightage, respectively. Last year, both these components collectively accounted for just 10 per cent of candidate shortlisting.

IIM Kozhikode adopts a three-staged selection process. Clearing the first stage would require a candidate under the general category to score a minimum CAT score percentile of 85 with a 75 sectional percentile. Scoring 60 per cent marks in Class 10 and Class 12 is also mandatory.

To be considered eligible for the second stage and be called for the written ability test (WAT) and personal interview (PI), a candidate must fulfil certain criteria. Candidates will be shortlisted in each category on the basis of an Aggregate Index Score (AIS). The AIS is computed based on the performance in CAT 2023, Class 10, Class 12, gender and academic diversity criterion and work experience.
