BHU receives donations under Pratidana initiative; starts 3 new scholarships

The University is instituting new scholarships, one each for the Faculty of Education, Central Hindu Boys School, and Central Hindu Girls School.

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) under its Pratidana initiative has received donations through which the University has started three new scholarships. The University is instituting new scholarships, one each for the Faculty of Education, Central Hindu Boys School, and Central Hindu Girls School.

Rahul Srivastava, a corporate leader based in Mumbai has donated in honor of his maternal grandmother, his paternal grandfather and his paternal aunt. Srivastava’s father superannuated from the Central Public Works Department as Additional Director General after decades of contribution to numerous projects and thereafter worked as Advisor (Works) at IIT-Gandhinagar for more than a decade and was instrumental in the development of its iconic campus, read the press release.

The Pratidana initiative of Banaras Hindu University is aimed at mobilizing and garnering support from alumni and well-wishers, to establish scholarships for meritorious students, need-based financial aid, enhance learning opportunities, and promote excellence in teaching.

Meanwhile, the University has developed 15 new courses for SWAYAM for the 2024 session. The programmes at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) have been developed in line with the requirements and expectations of the learners.

Starting from July 22, these courses will offer an opportunity for learners to enhance their knowledge and skills across a diverse range of subjects from the broader areas of management, commerce, science, medicine, social sciences, humanities, and philosophy, claims the press release.
