AICTE releases academic calendar for 2023-24, first year classes from September 15

Technical institutes have to begin classes on or before September 15. The calendar is available on the official website— aicte-india.org.

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) today released the academic calendar for 2023-24 year. The calendar is available at the official website of the council— aicte-india.org.

As per the academic calendar, the last date up to which first year students can get admission against vacancies is September 15. The classes for first year students of technical courses should commence on or before September 15. The last date for a lateral entry admission to second year courses for newly admitted students is also September 15.

For technical institutes (not applicable to standalone PGDM/ PGCM institutions) the last date for granting approval or refusal by AICTE is June 10. Final date for granting approval after appeal is June 30. Last date for grant of affiliation by university/ board is July 31. Last date for cancellation of seats for technical courses with full refund of fees is September 11.

For standalone PGDM/ PGCM institutions, the last date for granting or refusing approval by AICTE is June 10. The final date for granting approval after appeal is June 30. Last date for cancelling admission for courses in PGDM/ PGCM institutions and getting a full fee refund is September 11. The last date for admission is September 15.

For institutions with ODL, online programmes, the last date for grant of approval will be according to the UGC policy. Last date for admission to online/ODL courses will also be as per UGC policy.
