Brother dedicates website to martyr Major Sharma

A website dedicated to the memory of Major Mohit Sharma was unveiled on his 32nd birth anniversary. The brainchild of Madhur Sharma,brother of martyr Major Sharma who was shot dead in a gunbattle with militants in the Kupwara region of Jammu and Kashmir last year,the website,www.majormohitsharma.org,details every aspect of the martyr’s life. A software engineer with Cadence,Madhur said: “The website was started by me and a few of my friends who were close to Mohit. We launched the website on January 13 this year,on his birthday,” added the martyr’s brother.. The website details late Major Sharma’s school days,his life at the military academy and the Army. “My parents went through his pictures taken on various occasions. For all those who loved him and wanted to know him well,I uploaded his pictures on the website,” said Madhur.

Late Major Sharma,a resident of Rajendra Nagar,Sahibabad,was posted with Para 1 regiment and was a gallantry award winner in 2004.
