Among Delhiites who turned up very early to vote during the sixth phase of Lok Sabha polls on May 25 were some Union Ministers. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar was the first male voter at his booth in New Delhi constituency.
Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Puri reached his booth at 6.45am, 15 minutes before the polling began. He ended up being among the first few voters who exercised their franchise, after stopping to give bytes to the media outside.

As the date of polling for Varanasi seat is coming closer, some of the top leaders of the BJP have increased their movement in PM Narendra Modi’s constituency. Home Minister Amit Shah will be in Varanasi district on Monday, however, he will address a rally in the adjoining Chandauli constituency.
BJP president J P Nadda has two programmes lined up in Varanasi constituency. Union minister Giriraj Singh will address a rally, while UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will take part in two programmes. On Sunday, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar took part in a number of events in Varanasi. Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav, too, addressed a rally. Party’s Mahila Morcha president Vanathi Srinivasan interacted with weavers and artisans, and also attended other events.

After taking a lead in the digital health space during the G20 summit last year, India will again take centre stage at the upcoming World Health Assembly in Geneva. In one of the side events, India will showcase its digital public goods such as the vaccine management platform on the lines of Co-WIN that was used during Covid-19 vaccination drive and digital health accounts.
As digital health grows in importance across the world, India has been referred to as the lighthouse country in this space. In fact, the push for digital health was one of the most successful outcomes of India’s G20 presidency, with the platform proposed by India already having been launched by WHO even before its annual World Health Assembly meeting.
