Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh’s K S Sudarshan ashes immersed in Sangam

The ashes of the former head of the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS),K S Sudarshan,were immersed in Sangam today amid chants of vedic hymns and presence of many senior BJP leaders and RSS functionaries.

The ashes of the former head of the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS),K S Sudarshan,were immersed in Sangam today amid chants of vedic hymns and presence of many senior BJP leaders and RSS functionaries.

Sudarshan had passed away on September 15 in Raipur at the age of 81 and his mortal remains were consigned to flames on September 16 at RSS headquarters in Nagpur. The urn containing his ashes was brought to Allahabad from Nagpur by RSS Pracharak Sunil Niyade and others on Wednesday evening. It was kept at Ananda Ashram,the RSS office here,where senior BJP leaders like Murli Manohar Joshi and Rajnath Singh paid their last respects to the departed leader.

Speaking at a condolence gathering,Joshi described Sudarshan as a patriot,who looked towards better Hindu-Muslim coordination in the society. He added that the fifth head of RSS also had wide-ranging interests in agriculture,science,medical science,industries and energy resources. Other senior leaders,who paid their homage to late Sudarshan included,state BJP president Laxmikant Bajpai,Vinay Katiyar,Kalraj Mishra.
