Womens Tennis Futures: three Indians qualify

Sheetal Goutham,Prerna Prathap,Aishwarya Agarwal from India qualified for the main draw of the $10000 MSLTA-AITA Women’s ITF Tennis Futures being organised by MSLTA at the Balewadi Tennis complex here.
The championship offers a total prize money of $10,000 (approx Rs 5,00,000) will be conducted under the auspices of the ITF,AITA and MSLTA. The tournament is being organized under All India Tennis Association’s Special programme for Indian probables as a part of Commonwealth Games Preparation. In the final rounds Goutham,the top seed in the qualifying round beat Dipti Srivatsava 6-2,6-2,while Prerna Prathap scraped past Deepna Vazirani 4-6,6-4,7-5. Aishwarya Agarwal acoounted for Jun Yi Zhang of Korea 6-4,6-0 to make it to the main draw which gets underway tomorrow.
Aishwarya Srivatsav,Tanvi Shah,members of the Vision 2010 programme,along with Nova Patel and Ankita Raina have been awarded the wildcards for the main draw.
