The city’s glitterati gathered at Corinthians on NIBM Road on Wednesday,and were witness to a show they would never forget. Funnyman Wayne Brady used all his skills of impromptu comedy to bring tears of laughter to everyone’s eyes. Brady,along with Jonathan Mangum,a fellow cast member from The Wayne Brady Show,pulled some of his best impromptu tricks that have endeared him to fans across the world since his Whose Line Is It Anyway days. During the course of the night,Brady and Mangum imitated two estranged brothers who had found each other in Sri Lanka; two fishermen stranded on an island; imitated the workings of a VCR and as a finale,imitated artistes like Elvis Presley and Prince. “A lot of my comedy has to do with the experiences that I feel everyone goes through. Add to it physical humour and fast-paced slapstick,and you have my branch of comedy,” said Brady,adding that he wants to perform in India again next year.
