Uncertain whether she will get a party ticket for a fourth time for assembly election, sitting BJP legislator Madhuri Misal said she ensured development in the constituency in her past three tenures and that she has no other constituency to contest except Parvati in the upcoming polls.

“I studied the problems of the constituency and resolved them with proper planning whether it is traffic, water, environment or slum rehabilitation,” she said. Misal said that part of the constituency is flood prone so steps have been taken to mitigate the situation.

“I have done work in such a manner that people will talk about it for a long time and will give me credit for it even when I will not be the legislator representing them,” she said.

Misal said she was keen to contest the Parvati assembly seat for a fourth consecutive time but that depended upon the party. “If I contest, it will be from Parvati as there is no other constituency for me to contest. I will work for the party despite who gets the candidature,” she said.

On being a senior party legislator who didn’t make it as a minister, Misal said it was upto the party as to who should be made minister. She said that the party will make her a minister once they recognise her good work as legislator.
