Traffic diversions in place for Jarange Patil-headed rally in Pune today
Road between Market yard junction to Jedhe chowk, Panchami chowk to Jedhe chowk, Shivdarshan chowk to Mitra Mandal chowk, will be closed for traffic during the rally.

Given the huge number of people expected to participate in the Maratha Arakshan Shantata Rally in Pune, road traffic along certain routes in the city will be diverted to avoid congestion on August 11.
The rally, led by Maratha activist Manoj Jarange Patil, will begin from Sarasbag and conclude at Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj statue in Deccan area.
A press release issued by Deputy Commissioner of Police (traffic) Rohidas Pawar stated that the road below the Neelayam bridge to Savarkar statue, the road from N C Phadke chowk to Sanas statue and the road from S P College to Puram chowk, will be closed to traffic during the rally.
No vehicles will be allowed from Seven Loves chowk to Jedhe chowk and traffic will be diverted towards Market Yard or Pune Station through Nehru road.
Road between Market yard junction to Jedhe chowk, Panchami chowk to Jedhe chowk, Shivdarshan chowk to Mitra Mandal chowk, will be closed for traffic during the rally.
Once the rally starts from Sarasbag, stretches along Kumthekar road, Lakshmi Road and other streets in the midle of the city will be closed to traffic. Vehicles will be diverted to alternate routes as per requirements, traffic police have said.
Once the rally reaches J M Road, traffic will be diverted on alternate routes and no vehicles will be allowed to pass from Good Luck chowk to Natraj chowk, Nalstop chowk to Khandojibaba chowk as well as Tilak chowk to Khandoji Baba chowk.
Traffic will be diverted from Navale bridge to the New Katraj tunnel. Heavy vehicles going from Khadi Machine to Katraj will be diverted to Bopdev Ghat, police said.
