These hospital management courses are aimed at making students ‘health market’ ready
Hundreds walk in at medical establishments everyday and each one is bound by that common thread of hope – a cure for themselves or for a loved one. The Sancheti Health Care Academy,Shivajinagar,has a two year post-graduate diploma programme in Health Services. Says Manisha Sangvi,the executive director of Sancheti Health Care Academy,The course is divided into four semesters with a major syllabus covering practical assignments. These assignments include direct interactions with the sector like the pharmaceutics,the IT companies where people who specialise in health care design medical software programmes and the health insurance industry.”

SIHS also caters to different fields like health consultancy,NGOs,public health,medical insurance and the medical equipment industry. The courses are inter-disciplinary and any graduate can apply.
CareerVersity,Bavdhan,runs a full-time programme in Hospital Management. Says Kedar Nigavekar,the managing director of CareerVersity,This course is meant for ayurvedic and homeopathic doctors specifically,who aim at building careers as a hospital manager. A few city hospitals also offer internships for the same, he adds.
