A 36-year-old software professional was robbed of a laptop and two gold rings by three unidentified persons on Katraj-Dehu Road bypass off the Mumbai- Bangalore highway when he was on his way back home from work on Thursday night.

A 36-year-old software professional was robbed of a laptop and two gold rings by three unidentified persons on Katraj-Dehu Road bypass off the Mumbai- Bangalore highway when he was on his way back home from work on Thursday night. Anupam Datta,a resident of Warje and originally from West Bengal,registered a complaint at Chatushrungi police station. Police said the incident took place around 11.45 pm on the bypass near Wakad. Assistant police inspector S B Javale investigating case said,“Datta was returning home from work on his bike. Three unidentified persons came on motorcycle from behind and kicked his bike. After he fell down,they beat him up and fled with his laptop and two gold rings.”
