A 21-year-old engineering diploma student of a private college allegedly committed suicide at his rented apartment in Vadgaon Budruk area on Thursday night. Police,quoting his suicide note,said the boy took this extreme step because he could not cope with the stress.
Haveli police have identified the body to be that of Arihant Anilkumar Bhubane,who hailed from Renapur in Latur and was staying in Pune for the past two years. He was staying at a rented flat in Minakshi Puram residential society with other friends. He was pursuing a diploma course in Information Technology at Sinhagad Technical Education Societys Venutai Chavan Polytechnic College in Vadgaon Budruk,police said.
His friends rushed him to the hospital,where he was declared dead.
We have found a suicide note,written in his notebook. He has said that he was taking this extreme step because he could not cope with the stress. He has said that none of his friends or relatives should be held responsible for his death. He added,We have shown Arihants elder brother the handwriting and he has identified it.
Arihants parents are teachers in Renapur,while his elder brother is an engineer who also stays in Pune. K C Salunke,the principal of the Polytechnic College said,He was a regular student of the institute. We have come to know that he also had some health issues.
Meanwhile,Jagtap said,We will be recording statements of his friends,college authorities and relatives to find out more about the incident.
