Best selling Marathi author Meera Prabhu remincised her journey through the freezing monastries of Tibet at a press conference for the launch of her latest Marathi travelogue Vaat Tibetchi on June 30,at the Patrakar Bhavan. The book is a collection of her memories from her journey to the heart of Tibet through China. Intriguing chapters are dedicated to issues like the near extinction of the Lama culture,Dalai Lama’s political seat and policies of the Chinese government towards Tibet. “I am very fascinated with the different cultures of the world. When I visit a place,I want to know about its history. I want to go to Manhattan,New York and write my next travelogue about it. It resembles Mumbai with the idea of having the world in a city,” says Prabhu.
