The 1984 batch of St Judes High School,formerly known as Garrison High School,recently organised their reunion at Dehu Road.
On the occasion,the alumni of the school handed over an amount of Rs 1,25,000 to the principal,the interest of which will be given away every year to a Class 1X boy and a girl,especially from the economically weaker section of the society. The rest of the amount will be presented as corpus fund for other needy students of the school.
As many as 11 former teachers and several former students,many of whom have now become doctors,engineers,lawyers,defence officers,teachers,bankers and even politicians,attended the reunion. Among the alumni present were Dr Sushil Muthiyan,Suresh Pisharody,Aarti Shah,Rohit Shetty and commander Yogesh Chaudhuri. As part of the event,the teachers were presented with mementos engraved with a line that read What a teacher writes on the blackboard of life cannot be erased.
