Musical Bliss
With fingers plucking the strings for enchanting notes and the tabla beats portraying the strength of music, the Musical Brothers Concert took place at Aperture India Art Gallery. Amano Manish and Uday Deshpande enthralled the audience with their classical music performance and left a message about how enriching music can be. Manish, trained by the father of Indian Slide Guitar,Pt Brijbhushan Kabra and Deshpande, trained under Ustad Allah Rakha put up a performance of classical renditions. The evening saw people from across the borders — Iranians,Koreans and of course, lots of Puneties, enjoying the concert. Recounting one of his musical concerts,Deshpande says,I was performing in Canada at a classical music concert when an Afghan man started crying. Later on,he came to see me and told me that I reminded him of his son. I went over to the entire Afghani community later on and performed for them. That was really memorable. Music indeed transcends borders.
