Enjoy some incredible pieces of art from the east this weekend as well known ceramic artist Ruby Jhunjhunwalas exhibition on art and craft,Method in Madness – Naked Raku and stoneware potteryis being held at Hotel Studio Estique,near Inox,Bundgarden Road on Saturday and Sunday. Raku,is a unique form of ceramic art and in Japanese it means ease and enjoyment. Jhunjhunwala has been exploring this age old medium since long. Trained under the world-renowned ceramist Daniel Rhodes at Alfred University,New York,and Sardar Gurcharansinghji,the father of Indian studio pottery,she has traveled the country for studying different styles of pottery prevalent across India.

With an open repertoire choice,an opportunity for public performances and instructions as well as adjudications from an international panel of adjudicators,MusiQuest a national level piano competition is going to be an exciting event. Organised by Academy of Music Pune it is being held this September fostering musical performance as well as learning and interaction among budding young talent across the country. The international adjudication panel will include renowned teachers and pedagogues Nelita True (USA),David Vandereyk (Canada) and Tara Wohlberg (Canada). Additionally,Mary Tickner (Canada) will hold workshops and private lessons and piano masterclasses during the festival.
