Skoda unveils SUV ‘Yeti’

Ashutosh Dixit,senior general manager,sales and marketing,Škoda Auto India ,said,“The SUV comes with unique off-road capabilities which ensure that it works as a sedan on city roads while it works as an SUV off-road. It comes in two variants,Ambiente and Elegance.” The two models are priced at Rs 14.98 lakh and Rs 16.98 lakh respectively. Dixit said the company aims at selling 6,000-8,000 cars in the next year.

When asked about the company’s plans for the high-end SUV market,Dixit said,“At present,we are focusing on this price segment and have no plans to venture into the high-end segment.However,we will be committed to launching a new car every year.”

Elaborating on the comapany’s expansion plans,Dixit saide Škoda plans to scale up its outlets from the existing 72 to 80 by the end of the year.

Also,Skoda Boutique will be launched in the first quarter of the next year in the city,he said.

“We are aiming at delivering the initial 1,000 cars that have been already booked by the end of January,” said Dixit.
