SIMS students have maligned city image

A few organisations in the city have demanded that the recognition of Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies be cancelled as it has maligned the image of the city.

This comes after around 500 students were found involved in the friendship day party held in Loni Kalbhor on Sunday,which was broken up by the rural police.

Pune is proud to about its legacy,that of Chhatrapati Shivaji,Mahatma Phule,Justice Ranade,Agarkar and Lokmanya Tilak. However,Symbiosis has no place for lower middle-class and poor students. It has maligned the image of this city owing to the incident on Sunday, said Hanumant Sathe,state president,Matang Front of RPI,in a press note.
