Verse Canvas
In You is The Illusion Of Each Day thats what Latitude 28s latest art exhibition is called. Curated by Maya Kóvskaya,art critic and scholar,this show is inspired by poet Pablo Nerudas works,and features artists Pooja Iranna,Ranbir Kaleka,Malekeh Nayiny and the Raqs Media Collective among others. War Games
The ruins of Kotla Feroz Shah turn into the battlefield of Kurukshetra,as the modern classic play,Andha Yug (The Blind Age),is staged here after a half-century gap. Theatre veteran Mohan Maharishi plays Dhritarashtra,and Uttara Baokar takes on the role of Gandhari,while Bollywood actor Om Puri gives the voice-over for Krishna. Classical Extravaganza
Two of the most recognised musicians of modern times come together at the NCPA for a concert. Violist Rivka Golani,who has performed as a soloist with the worlds leading orchestras,and pianist John Lenehan,whose career spans more than 30 years,will perform pieces by composers Schubert,Prokofiev,Bruch and Rachmaninoff. Shaw Stopper
Motleys recent production,By George,a collection of three short pieces by George Bernard Shaw,has received a great response everywhere it has been staged so far. Comprising Village Wooing,Shaws comediettina for two voices in three scenes,preceded by the one-act play How He Lied to Her Husband and a longish poem,English Pronunciation,the play returns to Prithvi Theatre in Juhu on October 21 and October 22. Monochrome Magic
Pen and ink,charcoals,acrylics,ceramics,oil on canvas and mixed media will amalgamate in a group show called Strokes in Black & White at the Renaissance Art Studio on Pashan Road.
