Senior League: Big wins for ICC Cricket Club,Satara DCA

ICC Cricket Club and Satara District Cricket Association scored thumping wins over the Osmanabad District Cricket Association...

ICC Cricket Club and Satara District Cricket Association (SDCA) scored thumping wins over the Osmanabad District Cricket Association (ODCA) and the Hingoli District Cricket Association (HDCA) respectively at the Shivaji Stadium in Kolhapur and the Indira Gandhi Stadium in Solapur.

Batting first,ICC scored a total of 321 runs in 68 overs with Mandar Darvatkar scoring a quickfire 60 and Prashant Tagde scoring a blistering 94. Osmanabad could only manage a measly 50 runs – they were bundled out in 22.4 overs. Alsomrao Soloman was the wrecker-in-chief as he took six wickets for just 15 runs. Following on,the Osmanabad batting collapsed again for a total of 120 runs,giving ICC victory by an innings and 151 runs.

In the other match at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in Solapur,Satara District Cricket Association defeated Hingoli District Cricket Association. Batting first,the SDCA team was all out for a paltry total of 79 runs inside 30 overs. However,HDCA were bowled out for 77 runs. Karan Nandey took 6 for 17 runs while Kishor Sapkal got 3/14. In the second innings,Satara piled up a total of 235 runs in 53 overs with Kishor Sapkal contributing 50 runs. Ironically HDCA,like in the first innings and were again bowled out for 75 in 31 overs. Karan Nandey who picked 4 wickets to help his side win by 162 runs.
