Senior citizen murdered in Pune’s Talegaon Dabhade, 4 arrested

Police have arrested four persons in this case, who were identified as Shivaji Rajaram Garud (65), Anil Koli, Amar Dhamdhere and Pravin Shinde.

Inspector Kishor Patil, the investigating officer in the case, said there was a financial dispute between accused Garud and deceased Takle. Police said Takle had gone to his son-in-law’s house on Tuesday. The accused persons, including Koli, who allegedly claimed to be a policeman, barged into Khollam’s house on Tuesday afternoon. They forcibly took Takle and Khollam to the house of Garud’s daughter in Chinchwad. Here the accused persons allegedly thrashed Takle with a belt for money.

As stated in the press release issued on Thursday, the accused persons further took Takle to a place in Takve village in Maval taluka and again thrashed him, causing his murder. Police have booked the four accused persons under sections 302, 363, 364, 342, 323, 504, and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. “We have arrested four persons in this case. Further investigation is on,” said inspector Patil.
