Qualifier Kaustubh Devkar and Omkar Ladkat continued their winning spree as they knocked out second seeded Aditya Deshpande and fifth seeded Vidit Thakkar to enter the semifinals of the PYC- Rupee Bank Cup All India Under 14 national ranking tennis tournament.
The event is sponsored by Rupee Cooperative Bank and organised by PYC Hindu Gymkhana and being played on their courts Omkar Ladkat upset fifth-seeded Vidit Thakkar 6-2,7-5 while Koustubh Devkar outplayed second seeded Aditya Deshpande 6-4,6-0 to score the biggest upset win of the day.
Top-seeded Neel Lapalikar outplayed Abhishek Patwardhan 6-3,6-3,while Shubam Kale stopped Lucky loser Anish Salelkar 6-4,7-5 to complete the quartet.
In the girls event top seeded Mahima Omkar ,fifth seeded Vaibhavi,second seeded Kanishka Chawla all moved to the semifinals third seeded Shrushti Dass went through a close 7-6 (7-4),6-2 win ove Swara Kulkarni.
