Ruby Hall Clinic comes up with epilepsy campaign

“Despite its prevalence, there is still a lot of stigma and misunderstanding about epilepsy in India. This can lead to people with epilepsy being discriminated against, socially isolated, and denied opportunities. Many people with epilepsy in India do not have access to treatment. This is often due to a lack of awareness about the condition and a lack of resources,” Dr. Purvez Grant, chairperson and managing trustee of Ruby Hall Clinic said.

Epilepsy is still a highly stigmatized condition in India. To impact more lives and reduce the burden of epilepsy in Pune and overall, in India, Dr. Kapil Zirpe, Head of the Neuro Trauma Unit, Dr. Sunil Bandishti, director of Department of Neurosciences, and neurologists Dr. Santosh Sontakke and Dr. Richa Singh educate the public about epilepsy and providing essential first aid.
