The two-time Grammy winner and five-time nominee takes the stage for a noble cause but Pune will also host a human rights film festival and one of the world’s biggest wildlife challenges.

The ‘City Nature Challenge’ is one of the world’s biggest nature challenges that calls upon participants to document the biodiversity in cities. To participate, you have to photograph any wild organisms you find in your area, from plants to insects to birds, and upload it on the iNaturalist app that you can download on your phone. The event is being held simultaneously in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru, among others.

He is one of India’s finest storytellers and lyricists. Now, a collection of short stories of Gulzar will be presented by Pune-based Dramalay in their play and storytelling event, Ravipar. It will be an emotional journey as the tales are embedded in Indian culture but have a universal appeal.

Human rights violations don’t always include guns and bombs. Sometimes the keyboard is enough. What happens when four women have had enough of hate and abuse online? ‘Backlash: Misogyny in the Digital Age’ follows their story, and will be screened as part of the Human Rights Film Festival Berlin. It is in Italian, French and English and with English subtitles. The second film of the evening, Pongo Calling, is about Pongo, a truck driver and an ordinary citizen until, suddenly, he becomes an activist, who organises a movement from his cab.
