Pune black magic case: Accused arrested

An officer from Wakad police station said, After he was denied sexual favours, he threatened them and demanded money.

WAKAD police have arrested a 30-year-old man for allegedly seeking sexual favours from a 26-year-old a married woman on the pretext of ‘freeing her house from a black magic spell’ with ‘supernatural powers’ he claimed to have.

Based on the complaint filed by the woman, police have arrested one Ramzan Shaikh, who has been booked under sections of ‘Maharashtra Prevention and Eradication of Human Sacrifice and other Inhuman, Evil and Aghori Practices and Black Magic Act, 2013’.

Police said that the family of the complainant was introduced to the suspect over a year ago, through a family acquaintance. According to the FIR filed by her, Shaikh started coming their house frequently. He allegedly demanded sexual favours from her seven times.

An officer from Wakad police station said, After he was denied sexual favours, he threatened them and demanded money. He will be produced before court.
