Poona Golf Club finishes third

Poona Golf Club finished third at the McDowells Signature Club Golf All India Championship held at the Blue Canyon Country Club in Phuket,Thailand,over the weekend.Lucknow Golf Club emerged the Indian champion ,winning the All India final in the event.

Lucknow Golf Club,the North zone winner,tallied 77 points to defeat the three other zonal winners,EPTA Belgaum (South),Poona Golf Club (South) and Royal Kolkatta Golf Club (East). Lucknow Golf Club’s Ajay Bhasin was the man of the hour,scoring the highest points for his team.

South Zone winner EPTA Belgaum was in second place with 67 points,West zone winner Poona Golf Club in third place with 66 points and Kolkatta’s Royal Kolkatta Golf Club in fourth place with 51 points. Over 7,000 amateur golfers from 43 clubs across 30 cities played in the four zones to qualify for the All-India final.
