The Pune unit of state Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Thursday arrested a policeman for allegedly accepting bribe from an injured person who had come to the Chakan police station to register a complaint. ACB has identified the policeman as assistant sub inspector Sahebrao Dagdu Warule, attached to the Chakan police station of Pune rural police. [related-post] According to the ACB, an injured person came to the Chakan police station to register a complaint against persons who assaulted him. However, Warule demanded Rs 5,000 from this person man for getting his complaint registered. The injured man then filed a complaint at the ACB against Warule. ACB sleuths laid a trap and nabbed Warule red-handed while he accepted the money from the complainant at the Chakradhar Hotel near Chakan police station.
