A Day after a 70-year-old woman,Ivy Peter Marshals house in Pune Camp was ransacked by unidentified persons after the police apprehended her,the Pune police have a launched a search for builder Nishat Vazir for his alleged involvement in the case.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone II) Satish Khandare confirmed that on Wednesday,a police team has set out to look for Vazir. Khandare refused to divulge more details about the search operation. A police complaint was registered against Vazir. We may nab him any time, Khandare told the media.
Marshal,a private tuition teacher,has been staying at bungalow number four,NPS lines in Pune Cantonment for last 50 years. According to Marshals complaint,a sub inspector and two women constables took her to the police station at around 11 am on Monday. Marshal was booked for trespassing and was later released on bail around 1 pm. When she returned,she found that her house ransacked. Some furniture and valuables were also missing.
Marshal said that police apprehended her saying that she had been staying in the old part of the bungalow,comprising two rooms and a kitchen,without valid documents for over 50 years. She said that she had all the needed legal documents to stay in this portion of the bungalow.
Marshal had lodged a complaint against Vazir alleging that it was as per his instructions that her house was ransacked.
