PDPL: Pimpri Panthers beat Chakan Royals

The first edition of the Pune District Premier League Twenty20 tournament saw Pimpri Panthers beat Chakan Royals by a comfortable six-wicket margin as they overcame the Chakan score line of 140 with 8 balls to spare.

The first edition of the Pune District Premier League (PDPL) Twenty20 tournament saw Pimpri Panthers beat Chakan Royals by a comfortable six-wicket margin as they overcame the Chakan score line of 140 with 8 balls to spare.

Batting first,the Chakan Royals ran off to a good start before being restricted by Pimpri for 140 runs which they got to after the loss of eight wickets. Raviraj Patil (45) and Ajay Chauhan (25) guided the Royals to the respectable total. In reply,Prashant Pol and Amit Tapk had a 76-run partnership. The Panthers won by six wickets.
