Online FYJC admissions to begin today: 3.75 lakh seats up for grabs in Pune
Of the 20 lakh seats spread across 9,281 colleges across the state, 8,52,206 seats have been allocated for science, 5,40,312 seats for commerce and 6,50,682 seats for arts.

The registration for Round 1 of the Central Admission Process (CAP) for First Year Junior College (FYJC) in Maharashtra will begin at 11am on Wednesday.
Over 20 lakh seats across the state have been made available for the FYJC admissions, of which Pune division has 3,75,843 seats—1,03,705 seats for science, 1,01,971 for commerce and 1,70,170 for arts.
Of the 20 lakh seats spread across 9,281 colleges across the state, 8,52,206 seats have been allocated for science, 5,40,312 seats for commerce and 6,50,682 seats for arts.
The last date for registration is 6pm on May 28. Students will have to login to mahafyjcadmissions.in and select up to 10 junior colleges as preference. The provisional merit list for Round 1 will be released on May 30 and the final merit list will be released on June 3.
This year, as the admission process across the state has shifted to the online mode, students will be able to opt for admissions to junior colleges anywhere in the state. Students will no longer have to visit colleges to submit their applications. However, this system was already in place in MMR, Pune-Pimpri Chinchwad, Nagpur, Nashik, and Amravati since the last few years.
