One killed, 10 injured as bus rams truck on Pune-Solapur highway

“The private bus was moving on Solapur to Pune lane and the goods carrying truck was also moving in the same direction ahead of the bus. At Khadki village, the bus hit the truck from behind, causing serious injuries to passengers in the bus,” said an officer from Daund police station.

“All the injured were taken to different hospitals in the Bhigwan area. Jagtap was pronounced dead at the hospital. Ten others are undergoing treatment and are out of immediate danger. A probe has been launched to find out how the accident took place. Based on the findings of the probe, an FIR will be registered.” said the police officer.

The accident caused brief traffic congestion on the highway in the early hours. The traffic jam cleared after the damaged vehicles were taken off the highway.
