One booked for credit card fraud

The Bund Garden police have booked an unidentified person under section 420 of the IPC for phone-booking three airline tickets worth Rs 20,387 by using the credit card in the name of Alam Kalam Makwana (26),a resident of Bund Garden.

The Bund Garden police have booked an unidentified person under section 420 of the IPC for phone-booking three airline tickets worth Rs 20,387 by using the credit card in the name of Alam Kalam Makwana (26),a resident of Bund Garden.

According to the police,on Friday evening,Makwana got a message on his mobile phone saying that he had booked two tickets of Jet Airways from Delhi to Mumbai for Rs 6,829 and Rs 7,329 respectively and one Kingfisher airways ticket from Mumbai to Delhi worth Rs 6,229 for Saturday.

Police raid lodges on Sinhagad Road
The City police on Saturday carried out random checks at various lodges and hotels on Sinhagad Road. They checked the registers of nearly ten lodges to see if they have maintained customer details.

Cases have been registered against 37 people including a couple,who had a laptop and CDs having sleazy contents.
