According to police, the who who recently fell prey to fraudsters after he reportedly divulged a one-time password generated on his registered mobile number to a caller. Police said the complainant works with Bhatia Hospital in South Mumbai.
The case was registered with the Goregaon police earlier last week. The police, however, refused to divulge any details about the victim. He bought a credit card with the credit limit of Rs 5 lakh in July this year.
After inquiries, police found out that in February 2017, a group of men had organised a survey in the village and collected documents from several tribal women, promising that they would get cash in their new accounts under a government scheme.
