The Kapoor gal talks about her Bollywood lineage,love for designing clothes and brand endorsements
It is not everyday that you come across a star kid who is not bit by the acting bug. Riddhima Kapoor Sahni,however,chose to break away from her popular Bollywood lineage and live life on her own terms. A pure epicure where the good life is concerned,Bollywood-aided publicity and page-three parties is where youll hardly find her. I am not media savvy and I was never interested in movies. I loved watching them,especially my parents movies,but was never inclined towards the film industry, she says,seated at The Banyan Tree Café in Worli.

I was offered roles when I was studying in London and even when I came back,but I had made my decision long back, she says before placing an order for a cappuccino. In Mumbai,to celebrate the sixth year of the Kaya Skin Clinic,Sahni feels that endorsing brands like Kaya and Tribhovandas Jewellery is the farthest she could go in the glamour world. Even my association with Kaya was because I wanted to tell people how important it is to take care of their skin. Some people do too many things to their skin and ruin it, she states.
Apart from endorsing brands,Sahni finds complete satisfaction in designing clothes for her label Ara. I took it up as a hobby,but now I supply to a store called Kraze in Dubai and will very soon expand to London. Will she ever design for Ranbir? I only design for women. But if Ranbir does a Rafoo Chakkar like my father,then why not? she jokes. She reminisces the days they played Holi at the RK Studio in Chembur. It was so much fun. Ranbir and I were not taken for shoots but we met others from the industry at the studio.
Sahni always had the upper hand over her kid brother Ranbir. Ranbir is very sober and soft-spoken. I used to make him listen to me all the time. Being the older one,I was always right, she discloses,as she runs her hand through her blonde locks.
