Zaheer Khan was in town on Thursday to announce his new innings in the hospitality industry.

Zaheer Khan was in town on Thursday to announce his new innings in the hospitality industry. His first restaurant that he set up at Lulla Nagar in 2005 has been revamped and now incorporates two additional ventures – along with Zaheer Khan’s Dine Fine – Toss (a sports bar) and Foyer (a banquet hall).

On being compared to other cricketers, who had started hospitality ventures but failed,Khan said,“We have been in the industry for long and have learnt its intricacies. Incorporating our knowledge,we decided to explore other opportunities in the industry.”

All his ventures will operate under the umbrella of Zaheer Khan’s Hospitality Private Limited. Khan’s younger brother and director of the venture said,“The property in Lulla Nagar, that has been refurbished, now houses the three brands. It boasts of a glass facade and a separate lift which caters only to the three brands.”

The venture seeks to expand through the franchise model. Toss is a sports bar, fashioned with sports accessories and big screens, which lets one watch matches and play games through game consoles. The sports bar’s special attraction is the sports memorabilia that it wears on its walls, including signed merchandise used and signed by sportspersons like Pele,Ronaldo,Messi and Federer.

While Dine Fine is a multi-cuisine restaurant,Foyer is a banquet hall equipped with audio-visual aids with a seating capacity of 100. On the cricketing front,Khan recently returned from a fitness training in France. “I am fit and am looking forward to playing for the upcoming Ranji Trophy,” Khan said.
