Netra Sahi scored the all-important goal to hand Syntel the Inter-IT Football trophy after a gruelling campaign that lasted over two months.
Syntel and Cybage were tied goalless at the end of regulation time and were also locked at 4-4 in the penalty shootout.
In sudden death,however,Sahi made no mistake in scoring past the Cybage goalkeeper before Tejas Sabade of Cybage missed the target to hand Syntel the championship,at the Range Hills Ground on Sunday.
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) won the Knockout Cup,virtually taking the same route as Syntel.
TCS and Accenture were tied goalless before the tie-break saw them still locked at 4-4.
Niranjan Pednekar scored in sudden death for TCS while Karan Katiyar missed for Accenture.
