NARP weather machine stolen

An automatic weather reporting machine worth Rs 1 lakh has been stolen from the National Agriculture Research Project premises on Ganeshkhind Road.

An automatic weather reporting machine worth Rs 1 lakh has been stolen from the National Agriculture Research Project (NARP) premises on Ganeshkhind Road. An FIR was registered on Friday at Chaturshrungi police station against unidentified thieves. Pradip Anna Navale,a senior officials at NARP,lodged the FIR. Police said the machine was stolen between 5.30 pm July 25 and 9 am July 26. The theft came to light when staff had gone to note recordings. Navale said thieves had cut the 10-foot-high wire mesh around the machine. He said they had decided to install CCTV cameras.
