Hinting at mega-coalition for the 2014 Assembly election,BJP state president Sudhir Mungantiwar said if the Shiv Sena sinks differences with MNS,there could be chances of a grand coalition of the BJP,Sena,MNS and RPI. He also said that winning 165 seats would not be difficult if this coalition comes into being.

He was speaking at the inauguration of two-day BJP Yuva Morcha Karya Samiti meeting on Saturday at Alpabhachat Bhavan.

Mungantiwar appealed to young leaders to work towards winning the election in favour of the BJP. Terming it as ‘mission 2014,’ he said that modern technology will play a vital role in making the mission a success. “Initially,we will come up with an interactive for the elections,” he said.

When asked about the party’s joining hands with the MNS in Nashik,Mungantiwar said the saffron parties did not want Congress and NCP to rule the Nashik municipal corporation, which is why BJP and MNS came together.

“Shiv Sena and BJP are coalition partners, and will not break the coalition inspite of ups and downs,” he said.

Mungantiwar said there was a need to change the eligibility criterion of those in power in local municipal corporations.

Explaining the state of affairs within the party,he said that those in power are seldom appreciated and those who err are rarely punished. “Those people in power do not work properly but point fingers at others,” he said.
