Molestation charge against Pujari murderers

Yogesh Raut (24) and Mahesh Balasaheb Thakur (24),both accused in the gangrape and murder of software engineer Naina Pujari,have been produced at a magistrate court in Khadki in another offence where they were accused of outraging the modesty of a 25-year-old woman from Vishrantwadi. Judicial Magistrate (First Class) C N Salve remanded the duo to two-day police custody.

After they were arrested in the Pujari case,the police received another complaint o n Thursday from a woman from Vishrantwadi. According to the complaint,Raut,Thaukar and one Vishwas Kadam,the absconding co-accused in Pujari case,had gone to the woman’s residence on October 7 when her husband was not present and tried to molest her.

The woman in her complaint said that she had let the accused in,as her husband knew them.
