And so do the Mystic Masala at Vivanta,Taj Blue Diamond,that has organised the Maharashtrian Food Extravaganza,which will carry on till the end of the month. Guests present could feel their nostrils tingling by the aromas that filled the air. The food items include traditional Maharashtrian dishes. One can start with a staggering variety of farsan or starters (both veg and non-veg),ranging from the mouth-watering kanda bhajji to hirvya moogache dhrade (spiced green moong pancakes) to talaleli mandeli (deep fried baby fish) and komdi chiwadi (chunks of chicken rolled in colacacia leaves,steamed and deep fried). Coolers like t hak (buttermilk) and solkadi will help drown the spice . We wanted to indulge our guests in the swadishth Maharashtrain jevan. They love the Kaireechi Panha,Vada Komda (served with masala puri),Puran Poli,Solikadi and the the traditional Pitla and Zunka which we serve here explains Ratnakar Prabhu,the head chef of this festival. The food is accompanied by traditional Maharashtrian music.
Cake break
Sweet lovers soaked in some festive cheer at the cake-mixing event held at the open to sky,live grill & barbeque restaurant – MoMo Alfresco in Courtyard by Marriott,Hinjewadi,on November 25. Raisins,glazed red cherries,orange peel,tutti-frutti,black currants,dates,dried apricots & figs,ground green cardamom,cinnamon,nutmeg,mace and cloves were happily married off with endless bottles of spirits to create saccharine magic.

Recently,Australian coffee shop chain Gloria Jean opened its doors in Pune,making their outlet at R Deccan Mall,Deccan Gymkhana the 12th outlet in the country. Offering signature beverages like Crème Brulee Latte,Very Vanilla Latte,Mocha Caramelatte,Mocha Truffle,Triple Hot Chocolate,and Irish Nut Crème,the aim is to serve good quality coffee in a soothing environment.
