Although the crime branch has not been able to trace the whereabouts of Manish anand,vice-president of Khadki Cantonment Board, unknown well wishers have displayed his hoardings opposite Khadki police station.
Anand is a suspect in a case of assault on Vehicle Entry Tax (VET) contractor Vivek Yadav in February.
The posters that wish Anand a happy birthday are illegal, given the cantonment board has never given permission for them to be put up.
Cops are likely to take action.
S V R Chandrasekhar,CEO,KCB said,The board has not issued any permission (to people who have displayed the hoardings).
Bhimrao Tele, senior police inspector,Khadki Police Station said,Some well wishers have put up the hoardings at that location. It is a usual practice to put up political hoardings there with permission from the KCB. We will take further action after consulting KCB.
