Man robbed of ornaments,mobile in Hadapsar

An IT professional was robbed of ornamnets and a cellphone by three unidentified persons in Hadapsar on Wednesday. The incident took place when 34-year-old Shilpesh Shivaji Ravatu,resident of Barkat Apartment in Azad Nagar,was going towards Magarpatta Chowk on his motorcycle.

Around 9.45pm,Ravatu was intercepted opposite an eatery on Pune-Solapur Road by three bike-borne youths. Police said the trio intentionally hit Ravatu’s motorcycle. As Ravatu fell on the ground,they snatched his silver chain,gold pendant and cellphone worth Rs 3,500 and fled. Ravatu lodged a complaint at Hadapsar police station. Police are clueless about the whereabouts of the suspects. Police inspector V B Golde,who is investigating the incident,said Ravatu has been working with a prominent IT firm in Magarpatta City area for the last two years.
