Madame Kareena at Tussaud’s

Kareena Kapoor’s wax statue at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum,Blackpool,UK,will be unveiled on October 27. Kapoor is naturally excited about the statue and since its close to the release of Ra.One,she will be in London for the premiere too (October 25). The actress will be accompanied by her mother Babita. “My mother has always encouraged me to take on different things. So,this one is for her,” the actress said. Her statue is part of an exhibition of Bollywood figures at Madame Tussauds. Sarah Lundy,marketing manager at Madame Tussauds Blackpool,said,“We are excited to have Kareena in Blackpool to launch our amazing Bollywood figures. We know that the UK will be very excited to see her and her wax statue.”

Musicians Rivka Golani (viola) and John Lenehan (piano) will perform together at a musical extravaganza today,at Mazda Hall,Dastur Primary School,Camp. Lenehan’s performances around the globe and recordings of piano concerts are highly acclaimed. Even Golani’s contribution to the advancement of viola techniques have acquired her a prominent place in the music fraternity. Lenehan is a composer who has written music for renowned performers like Angelika Kirchschlager,Kennedy,Tasmin Little and Emma Johnson. After his performance in Pune,he plans to perform in China with Tasmin Little. Golani’s interests also include painting and teaching and she organises exhibitions in Israel,Canada,UK,Holland and Germany.
