Lions Club holds meet

The Lions Club International,District 323D2,Region IV organised its Region Conference LIBERTY at Appu Ghar water park,Nigdi.

Dr Anil Awachat was the speaker,while Lion Arun Sheth,district governor was the chief guest. BL Joshi,first vice-district governor and Lion Rajkumar Rathod,second vice-district governor were the guests of honour.

The inaugural session was held on the theme of Liberty with the release of pigeons and lighting of lamp. Vijay Sood,region chairman,elaborated the fine working of his region and all the clubs under him with an audio visual display and announced that activities amounting to almost Rs 1 crore were performed by the region.

A donation of Rs 10,000 was handed over to Dr Awachat for Muktangan. Sheth appreciated the works done by the various clubs. A souvenir Liberty was also released at the conference.
